Healing Liturgy
Our Healing Liturgy will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church at midday on Friday 12 June, followed by lunch in the Parish Centre. All are welcome.
Parish Renewal Program
THANK YOU for your positive response to our Parish Commitment Weekend – the final weekend of our Parish Renewal Program. A special THANK YOU to all the parishioners who have already returned their completed Thanksgiving pledge commitments and Ministry responses – either at Mass last week or by return to the Parish Office. Your support is very much appreciated!
If you have not yet done so, additional pledge cards will be available at all Masses this weekend – placed at the end of each pew. Please place your completed Thanksgiving pledge and Ministry flyer in the special Privacy Envelope and return in the collection baskets at Mass. Stephen Littleton, our Program Coordinator, will be following up by SMS, email, and phone to confirm intentions from parishioners who have not yet responded – so to minimise that follow-up please ensure you complete and return your commitments this weekend. Your new pledges will take effect from Sunday 28 June. Confirmation letters, and where appropriate, new sets of envelopes, will be available at all Masses on the weekend of Sunday 21 June. We thank you once again for your generous response.
First Eucharist
On Saturday 13 June, the St Joseph’s students will be making their First Eucharist. Our Parish Catechist group will be making their First Eucharist at 11am Mass on Sunday 14 June. We will be reserving their seating in the main body of the church, so your usual pew may not be available. We appreciate your understanding. Please keep all of these children and their families in your prayers on this special occasion.
Thanksgiving Envelopes
Due to the Parish Renewal Program, we can only provide the next 3 weeks of thanksgiving envelopes. These are available to be collected at the Immaculate Conception Church entrance. If you see your neighbour’s envelope please drop it off to them. Thanks for all your support. When the Renewal Program finishes new envelopes will be available for the next period.
Pope Leo XIV - New Encyclical
Released on 25 May and titled Magnifica Humanitas (‘Magnificent Humanity’). Addressed to all humanity, the document reflects on what it means to protect and preserve human dignity in the age of artificial intelligence. It can be found here on the Vatican site.
