Des Dwyer is Parish Priest at Immaculate Conception Hawthorn. Born in Warrnambool he was educated at Xavier College. After leaving school he joined the Jesuits and was ordained in 1974. He did post graduate studies in Spirituality at St Louis University USA (read more)

Father’s Day Collection

As we prepare to celebrate Father’s Day it is good to remember the Jesuit Fathers who have ministered to our Parish Community and to express our support through a collection on Father’s Day for the retired and sick Jesuits. To this end we will have a special collection on the weekend of 5 & 6 September. Envelopes will be provided should you wish to donate via bank transfer or credit card. All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.

Healing Mass

The monthly Healing Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church on Friday 11 September at 12 Noon with Music by Georgina Docherty and Raphael Cahyono on piano. This will be followed by a light luncheon down in the Parish Centre. Everyone is welcome to join!

Immaculate Conception Church Altar Group

The Altar Group is keen to recruit parishioners with an opportunity to interact together whilst attending to the church’s cleaning, flowers, etc. If interested, please leave your contact details at the parish office for Anne McCoy.
